Entry Requirements

100 UCAS points from A Levels or equivalent (BTEC National Diploma grade PPP, BTEC National Certificate MP, etc).

For non-EU students an IELTS 6 is required or equivalent University of Wolverhampton qualification.

How Is The Course Delivered

Developed in close collaboration with industry partners, this course has been developed as a vocational qualification, aiming to equip you with the practical and technological skills required to make music.

The course will provide you with an understanding of the demands and practices of the performance industries, whilst fostering your creative entrepreneurial mindset and intellectual skills.  It will also develop your performance and production skills and improve your ability to use a range of technology appropriate to industry practices.

A variety of modules relating to music production will enable you to experience this exciting field of employment. Learn from tutors with a wealth of industry experience, taking advantage of links with the industry. Sessions are designed to ensure that your learning experience is challenging and interactive.

How Will I Be Assessed

A mixture of classroom and e.Learning methods feature group work, student presentations, discussion and a range of online activities. 

Assessment is varied and includes opportunites for self and peer assessment as well as more traditional work-based learning.

What Can I Do After The Course

Freelance work in the music industry is a common route, although many of our students top-up to the full BA (Hons) Degree at University of Wolverhampton.
