How Is The Course Delivered

The Foundation Degree in Business Management seeks to develop in students the ability to link modern-day management practices and theory to real-life organisational issues. The course will enhance understanding and knowledge of a range of business disciplines, drawing upon highly practical content and reflecting the needs of organisations.

The work-related focus of the course promotes application of learning to real-life business organisations wherever possible, thereby enhancing the skills set and personal development of student participants.  There will be plenty of opportunity to explore local, national and international businesses via attending relevant events.  For example, students will have the opportunity to attend the UWBS Annual Crystal Lecture where successful MDs and CEOs from companies such as Birmingham Airport and the Tarmac group share their views on important current issues facing their organisations.

How Will I Be Assessed

A variety of methods are used throughout the course including coursework assignments, practical projects and tests. Both group and individual tasks are used.

What Can I Do After The Course

Students who successfully complete the course will have the skills to secure employment in a variety of jobs and business organisations.

Alternatively, students may wish to develop their understanding of business and management further by progressing onto the final year of the BA (Hons) Business Management Degree at the University of Wolverhampton Business School.
