For non-EU students an IELTS 6 is required How Is The Course DeliveredThis work-focused Foundation Degree will enable you to examine Health and Social Care as it applies to the community at large. The aim of this course is to provide you with knowledge of and insight into Health and Social Care issues for individuals and communities and health and social care services. By forming links with local and national employers - and responding effectively to their needs - the programme remains fresh and up-to-date. It contains an element of work experience which you negotiate yourself, using your current work if relevant. If you currently work in Health and Social Care this course will provide you with core skills to enhance your work; if you are looking to enter a career in Health and Social Care it will give you access to a wide range of career options. How Will I Be AssessedYou will be assessed by a variety of methods including: traditional techniques such as essays, reports and the examination of real life case studies and group presenations. What Can I Do After The CourseMany students who undertake the Foundation Degree may be currently employed in areas of Health and Social Care - however; those who aren't could find work in residential care, community care and health promotion in the community and schools.
